Step back in time and celebrate the fascinating history and heritage of Great Yarmouth and beyond at this year’s Great Yarmouth & District Local History Fair, organised by the Great Yarmouth Local History and Archaeological Society.

This year’s theme is The Architecture of Our Region, with stalls, displays, and activities from local groups, museums, and heritage organisations. Meet re-enactment groups, explore archaeology projects, browse local history books, and chat with experts who are passionate about preserving and sharing our past.
Special highlight: at 2pm, the Great Yarmouth Heritage Guides will give a free talk on the repair of Nelson’s Monument (pre-booking essential – https://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/submission-event/the-repair-of-nelson-s-monument-talk-2025.html).
