The Minster and all our Parish churches are here for all. We want everyone who enters the church to feel warmly welcome and to have a positive, happy experience during their visit.

Parking
We have short-term free on-street parking outside the Minster gates and there are local car parks in Market Place and at Sainsburys. See our ‘Getting Here’ page by clicking here for more details.
If you have mobility issues, you may drive into our turning circle to the front of the porch to be dropped off and should you be driving your own vehicle, we will endeavour to find you one of our restricted parking spaces on level ground.

Level Access
Nearly all the Minster is level access, please ask for help and guidance when you reach the porch.

Sensory Impairment
Guide dogs and other assistance dogs are always welcome.
There is a hearing loop in church.
Large print service sheets are available on request.

Holy Communion Services
Available to all, our communion services take place at one of our three altars and accessibility for wheelchair users varies accordingly. We will always bring communion to any worshippers, who cannot access the altar rail. Please let one of our welcome team or sidepersons know and we will arrange it discreetly.

Visitor Assistance
Whenever The Minister is open, during services and visitor hours, we always have a welcome team at the door to provide a friendly face and provide any help that may be required.
Please do not hesitate to speak to us, whatever your assistance issue may be and we will do our best for you.
If you have a specific concern before your visit and you would like be reassured, please get in touch via Contact Us.
