Great Yarmouth Minster is part of so many local lives: a place for weddings and baptisms, concerts and community gatherings, and quiet moments of prayer. September’s Parish Life brings a reminder of the ongoing appeal to repair and protect its windows.
The appeal describes a window damaged by vandalism which needs a complete rebuild by specialist restorers. The repair is estimated at £12,000, with additional protection also needed to help prevent further damage.
A building that belongs in our shared story
Whether you worship here regularly, have celebrated a family occasion at the Minster or simply value its place in the town, this is an opportunity to help care for it. The appeal has already prompted generous support, and we are grateful to everyone who has donated or spread the word.
Restoring a window is skilled work. Supporting it helps preserve a building that continues to serve the people of Great Yarmouth, as well as honouring the generations who have cared for it before us.
How you can help
If you are able, please visit the Minster window appeal to read more and make a donation. Sharing the appeal with friends and family is another welcome way to help.
