A tombola, a teddy bear and plenty of friendly conversations helped make Pathway’s first charity stall at the Gorleston Clifftop Gala a success this summer.
As reported in September’s Parish Life, the stall raised over £150 for the charity. Just as valuably, it gave the team an opportunity to meet people from across the community and talk about Pathway’s work.
A day out in the community
The stall stood near the tennis courts among other local charities. Visitors could try the tombola, stocked with gifts donated over the past year, or have a go at guessing the teddy bear’s name.
For a charity taking part for the first time, the day offered a welcome chance to put faces to the name and answer questions. Those conversations help more people discover the support available and the ways they can get involved.
