St. Paul’s Newtown

A warm and welcoming Victorian era church dating from the Victorian period, St. Paul’s was constructed in the late 1890s to look after the booming holiday trade as Great Yarmouth expanded towards neighbouring Caister-on-Sea. Sitting on what was then a heath of sand dunes, it is now at the heart of a thriving suburban community.

Our 9.30am Sunday services take place on alternate Sundays and midweek services on alternate Wednesdays at 10.15am. If you are travelling a long way to join us, please contact the Parish Office to confirm timings beforehand.

Attached to the church are the Irene Beckett meeting room for small church groups and a large, heated popular community church hall serving the residents of the whole Newtown area. Regular church groups and parish activities include Friday morning coffee stop, Women’s Fellowship, prayer groups, Saturday sales, Church fayres, bingo and historical talks.

Church hall community groups include Rainbows and Brownies, Mums & Toddlers, dance and keep fit groups, Gateway Club amongst others.
